Mondays can be a dreaded day of the week for many people – but how many of them are there in a year? The answer may surpise you.
There are 52 Mondays in a year. That’s four Mondays each month – with the exception of February, which only has three Mondays due to it having 28 days in a non-leap year.
A leap year, which occurs every four years, has an extra day in February, meaning five Mondays instead. That means a total of 53 Mondays in a leap year.
So if Mondays are getting you down – don’t worry, you only have to tackle them four or five times a month. And you’re only likely to have to deal with that dreaded start of the week a maximum of 53 times each year!
