Tom Brady is one of the most decorated quarterbacks in NFL history. As of 2020, Brady has won seven Super Bowl championships. His six Super Bowl victories with the New England Patriots have earned Brady the record for most Super Bowl titles of any player in NFL history. This accumulation of championship rings led many to question just how many rings does Tom Brady have?
The answer is seven. As mentioned previously, Brady has won six Super Bowl titles with the Patriots, along with one additional championship ring he earned as part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl LV win. The Bucs defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2021 championship.
The six titles Brady earned with the Patriots are from Super Bowl XXXVI (2001), Super Bowl XXXVIII (2003), Super Bowl XXXIX (2004), Super Bowl XLIX (2014), Super Bowl LI (2016) and Super Bowl LIII (2018). This haul includes the controversial Super Bowl XXXIX win, when the Patriots were accused of illegally filming the St. Louis Rams practice prior to their matchup. Despite the cheating scandal, Brady earned an MVP award for his efforts in the championship game.
Brady’s latest ring came in 2021 when the Bucs defeated the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LV. It was Brady’s first title with a team other than the Patriots, and solidifies his status as the most decorated quarterback in NFL history.
In total, Tom Brady has seven championship rings, the most of any NFL player. As is often said, championships are the ultimate measure of success in the NFL, and Brady has certainly done his part to secure his legacy.
