The character of Ciri in the Netflix series "The Witcher" is an important one. Fans of the show have been wondering exactly how old the character is in Season 2. Although Ciri has been a central character throughout The Witcher, little is known about the exact age of the character.
In the books and games, Ciri is said to be 15 years old. In the Netflix series, however, Ciri’s age appears to be drastically different. In the third episode of the show’s second season, we learn that Ciri is described as being in late teens.
At first, this contradicts the character’s age in the source material. However, when considering the timeline of The Witcher, it makes sense. The show takes place 12 years after the events of the book, which would make Ciri approximately 27 years old in the second season. Thus, Ciri appears to have aged faster in the Netflix series than in the books and games.
This explanation doesn’t clear up every detail, of course. The exact process of aging for Ciri is not 100% clear nor how it was modified for the Netflix series. However, it does make her age in Season 2 more understandable. Ultimately, Ciri appears to be older when compared to the books and game versions, being in her late twenties during the events of Season 2.
