Of England?
Queen Elizabeth II is the Queen of The United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. She has reigned since February 6th 1952, making her 93 years old in 2020.
Throughout her remarkable life, Queen Elizabeth II has spent decades living in an unprecedented role that has seen her travel the world for royal engagements and diplomatic trips. Be it on diplomatic trips, or a royal engagement or through her own press engagements, Queen Elizabeth II has led a life of immense public service throughout the 64 years she has been Queen.
At 93, Queen Elizabeth is the world’s oldest current monarch, and has likely seen more history take place than any other living sovereign. She has been, and still is, an ever-present figure in the changing landscape of the British Isles and abroad, as she continues to fulfill her duties as head of state.
Throughout her time on the throne she has seen eleven prime ministers come and go, welcomed Prime Minister Thatcher and welcomed Prime Minister Blair. She has also seen 12 US presidents. She has celebrated Prince Charles and Prince William’s wedding, the Diamond Jubilee and made the first royal visit in a generation to the Republic of Ireland in 2011.
The Queen’s legacy continues to make her a true symbol of national pride and longevity for both the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth – even as she celebrates her 93rd birthday.
