Changing the battery in an Oculus Controller is a surprisingly simple task. With just a few easy steps, you can have a fully charged controller and never miss out on your virtual reality experience.
To begin, switch off your Oculus Headset and unplug it. It’s not necessary to turn off your computer, but keep in mind that the battery will only charge while the headset is powered on.
Carefully remove the battery cover on the underside of the Oculus Controller. Do not forcefully pull on the cover as this may damage the controller. Inside, you’ll find the battery and a tab that holds it in place. Gently lift the tab and pull the battery out.
Insert the new battery into the correct orientation, ensuring that the positive side is facing up. Following this, fasten the tab to hold the battery in place. Put the cover back on the controller and screwed it in tightly.
Finally, plug your Oculus back in, power it on, and start experiencing your virtual reality world. You can check the battery level at any time by pressing the menu button on your controller and clicking Settings, followed by Devices, then Oculus Go Controller. Your controller should now be fully charged,
