Converting Word documents to the portable document format (PDF) can be a great way to share your work with others without fear of formatting or format-related issues. Fortunately, doing so is easy.
The first step is to open the Word document you need to convert. This should enter you into either Microsoft Word, or your document should appear in the Word interface.
Once the document appears, select the Print option from the File menu. This will open a print dialog box.
From the options within the print dialog box select Adobe PDF as the printer. It’s important to note that you must have Adobe Acrobat installed on your system in order to be able to utilize this functionality.
Once you have Adobe PDF selected, simply hit the Print button and your Word document will begin converting to PDF.
When the conversion is finished, the PDF will be automatically saved to your system. The exact location may differ depending on your configuration, but you are now able to open and view the PDF.
