It can also motivate us to work harder and can lead to a sense of achievement when we’re successful. But if it’s not managed properly, stress can have negative effects on our mental and physical health, leading to anxiety, depression, and other health issues.
There are various ways to reduce stress and be less affected by the inevitable challenges life throws our way. Here are some tips for managing stress more effectively:
Practice mindful breathing – Taking deep breaths and breathing slowly can help to calm your body and mind, by decreasing your heart rate and promoting relaxation. It can also help to clear your mind and give you a sense of perspective in a stressful moment.
Exercise – Regular exercise is a great way to eliminate stress and can even prevent it in the first place. This could be something as simple as a walk around the block or as intense as a challenging workout.
