The Girl Who Fell From The Sky is a remarkable story of a young girl who miraculously survived a fall from the top of a skyscraper. The event began one day in 2021, when eight-year-old Jazmin Koplik ascended the tallest building in the world, the Freedom Tower in New York City, to get a better view. As she looked out at the skyline, the wind began to pick up, and suddenly, Jazmin was thrown off the ledge and plummeted down more than 1,700 feet!
Incredibly, Jazmin survived the fall with only minor injuries. While experts and doctors couldn’t explain how she managed to survive with virtually no serious injuries, it was only later that the real story behind her miraculous escape came to light.
Just as she was about to hit the ground, Jazmin was caught by a net that had been secured by heroic construction workers more than 15 stories below! Fortunately, the workers had noticed her falling and had the presence of mind to quickly deploy the safety net. Had the workers not taken such a courageous and timely action, Jazmin could have been seriously injured or even killed.
This story of resilience and determination is now told all over the world, and Jazmin Koplik has become a hero to children, who have come to see her as a real-life superhero in the sky. For surviving the fall that no one else could, Jazmin was recognized by the mayor of New York City and presented with a special medal of courage in a ceremony at Madison Square Garden.
Today, Jazmin continues to inspire children to never give up in the face of adversity and reminds them to not take risks that are beyond their capabilities. The Girl Who Fell From The Skycautionary tale serves as a powerful reminder that individuals must be aware of the risks associated with heights, but also that with courage and determination, anything is possible.
