Alec Baldwin was seen shooting in Chicago while filming his upcoming movie, "Mission Impossible: Fallout".
The actor was spotted in the city’s downtown area, filming a key scene for the movie. Sources close to the set reported that Baldwin was shooting with a gun as he got into an altercation with one of the extras.
Reports suggest that the scene took place in the early morning hours of June 7th. It is believed that Baldwin was portraying an assassin and was shooting at the extra who was playing a security guard.
The scene reportedly began with Baldwin playing an assassin, entering a building in the Chicago Loop and shooting at the security guard. The extra, whose identity has not been released, was seen running for his life, trying to find cover from Baldwin’s gun fire.
It is believed that the scene eventually ended with Baldwin shooting the guard in the chest, killing him.
This is not the first time that Baldwin has portrayed a gun-toting character. In the past, he has portrayed bank robbers, assassins and other ruthless characters in his cinematic roles.
It is not yet known when Mission Impossible: Fallout is due to be released but it is expected this summer. It will be a highly anticipated film in the franchise, which has already grossed over $2 billion.
Mission Impossible: Fallout is the sixth installment of the Mission Impossible franchise and will feature an all-star cast. Baldwin has been brought on board to portray one of the key villains in the movie.
His character’s identity remains a mystery but it certainly looks like one action-packed movie featuring Baldwin as a gun-slinging bad guy.
