Who Dies In Endgame

The long-awaited blockbuster film, Avengers: Endgame, hit theaters around the world in April 2019. While many of the plot points were kept under wraps, one of the biggest reveals of the movie was which of the Marvel superhero characters would die.

The first death that occurs in Endgame is that of Tony Stark/Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr. Although audiences had been expecting this for some time, it is still a heartbreaking moment when the beloved hero finally succumbs to his wounds.

Later in the movie, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) makes the ultimate sacrifice in order to help the Avengers defeat Thanos. Her death is also very meaningful and sets up a really powerful moment among her friends.

Vision (Paul Bettany) is another character that meets his demise in Endgame. As with Iron Man, this was something that had been predicted by fans and the movie does not disappoint. Vision’s death is heartbreaking and significant as it brings his storyline in the MCU to an end.

The last death inEndgame involves Thanos himself, who is destroyed by the Infinity Stones. His death is a huge moment as it brings the Thanos arc to an end and completes the Avengers’ objective of saving Earth.

In addition to these major deaths, there are several smaller ones as well, as various characters are killed off in battles with Thanos’ forces.

Overall, Endgame contains quite a few heartbreaking moments as beloved characters make the ultimate sacrifice. These deaths, however, are integral to the story and serve to drive home the power of the characters and the themes that the movie explores.
