Who Dies In War Of The Spark

The epic conclusion to the ongoing planeswalker conflict has finally arrived in the form of War of the Spark. As always, with such a big event, comes big repercussions and sadly this time, characters pay the ultimate price to save the multiverse. Many fans have speculated who may be dying in this event and there are a surprising number of contenders.

The most obvious death in War of the Spark is the disasterous Bolas. While he will not actually die in the physical sense, this necromancer planeswalker will be finally ending his reign of terror with a one-shot spell that would leave him permanently comatose.

Two of the planeswalkers most fans predicted would die in War of the Spark are Garruk Wildspeaker and Nicol Bolas. While Garruk’s ultimate fate hasn’t been confirmed yet, Nicol Bolas is sure to fall to his ultimate end, even if the stories of the planeswalker conflict will carry on after his demise.

Other planeswalkers who may die in the War of the Spark include Gideon Jura, Ajani Goldmane, Kaya, and even beloved Chandra Nalaar. While none of these deaths have been officially confirmed, they all have been showing signs of growing mortal frailty over the course of previous events.

Since War of the Spark has such a massive battle looming with a large cast of planeswalkers, it should come as no surprise that at least a few of them do not make it out alive. Such battles must have a tragic and devastating cost, so all of these precious lives may be lost in the end. We may not know who will be on the list until the War of the Spark officially starts, but the list of potential victims is alarming to say the least.
