Tom Brady is arguably one of the most celebrated and successful quarterbacks in the history of the National Football League (NFL). The six-time Super Bowl champion has been at the center of the NFL universe since joining the New England Patriots in 2000.
For the past twenty years, Brady has been the undisputed leader of the Patriots, helping turn the franchise into one of the most successful organizations in sports. Despite the numerous reports linking Brady to other teams, the quarterback has remained loyal to the Patriots since arriving in Foxborough. As of 2021, Brady continues to play for the Patriots, bringing his illustrious career full circle.
The Patriots selected Brady in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, making him the 198th overall selection in that year’s draft class. Despite his low draft status, Brady quickly emerged as one of the league’s premier players, winning three Super Bowl titles, four MVP awards and more. Brady flourished with the Patriots, due in large part to Head Coach Bill Belichick’s innovative schemes and relentless commitment to winning.
In 2019, after a tumultuous offseason of contract negotiation, Brady decided to take his talents to another team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady signed with the Bucs and has since continued to produce impressive results. Over the course of the 2020 campaign, Brady and the Bucs ultimately captured Tampa’s second Super Bowl title.
At the age of 43, Brady shows no signs of slowing down, which makes sense considering his passion and drive to win. As of 2021, Brady remains a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will no doubt provide insight and leadership for the team for years to come.
