The world’s highest IQ belongs to 12-year-old girl, Kashmea Wahi from London. With an IQ score of 162 points, she is one of the youngest people to ever pass Mensa’s strict entrance test.
Mensa is an international organization which is dedicated to recognizing special intellects and bringing them together through social and intellectual activities. To become a Mensa member, candidates must score in the top two percent on an IQ test.
Kashmea is an incredibly talented young girl. She speaks multiple languages, all at a native level, and is also a part-time student at the London Collegiate School.
As for the current highest IQ ever, that record is held by Nobel Prize-winning physicist William James Sidis, who had an estimated IQ of between 250 and 300 – which would be off-the-scale for most IQ tests.
Sidis was reportedly so advanced in his learning that a college accepted him when he was just nine years old, and he graduated from Harvard at only 18.
In recent years, the title of ‘world’s highest IQ’ has largely gone to people who are far younger than Sidis – with the record being held by a variety of people, including multiple British teenagers.
Kashmea is just the latest of these young genius cases, and is certainly one to watch out for in upcoming years.
