The blow up doll might seem like a relatively modern invention, but their origins date back nearly to the beginning of the 20th century. The first blow up doll was actually invented in Japan by a man named Shin Takagi in 1978. While the doll that Takagi created was purely for research and design, it wouldn’t take long before the world would be introduced to a more well-known version of the blow up doll.
This version of the blow up doll was first introduced in the 1960s by the American company, Maidenform. The Maidenform blow up doll resembled the classic “Barbie” Doll, with its long blonde hair, wide eyes and curvaceous body. The company became very successful with its doll and it quickly gained popularity around the world.
In the 1970s and 1980s, the blow up doll became increasingly popular in America and across Europe. This was mostly due to the rise of the pornography industry in both countries and the increasing availability of adult magazines, which often featured images of the doll. In addition, as pornographic materials were more easily accessible, more people were owning and buying blow up dolls.
Over the years, the blow up dolls have evolved and developed into a wide variety of shapes and sizes. More recently, the dolls have become even more lifelike, with manufacturers creating dolls that are made of high quality materials, such as silicone and various skin-like fabrics.
Today, blow up dolls are often seen as a controversial topic and are still made and sold. Despite their controversial nature, blow up dolls have become a staple in the adult industry and remain one of the most popular toys and products on the market.
