Amanda Kloots is an American fitness instructor, actress, author, and entrepreneur. She is best known for her role as a judge on the NBC reality television show "The Biggest Loser" and for creating the fitness brand "Rope Class".
Kloots was born in Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University in 2004 with a degree in Organizational Communication. She then moved to Los Angeles where she began to pursue a career in fitness. After taking classes and fitness challenges, Kloots developed her own fitness program called "Rope Class" in 2011. Her unique style of rope training quickly gained traction nationwide and she started teaching dance classes and workshops all over the country.
In 2012, Kloots auditioned for "The Biggest Loser". She was chosen as one of the judges and gained tremendous recognition within the fitness industry. Since then, she has put out several fitness and cooking DVDs, written two books, and continues to teach Rope Class classes online and in person.
Kloots is also a sought-after speaker, having given lectures at corporate events and health and wellness conferences. Her enthusiasm and commitment to health and wellness have secured her a place as a leading expert in the industry.
Kloots is also a mother to her son, Elvis, whom she tragically lost to cancer in 2020. Amanda continues to honor Elvis’s memory and legacy of joy and happiness by working with various charities and causes such as the Elvis Fund.
