Baby Mammoth is a character on Fox’s hit TV show, The Masked Singer. Baby Mammoth was introduced as one of the sixteen masked singers in the show’s second season. The character is known for wearing a fuzzy, baby blue suit of woolly mammoth-inspired fur and a light blue baby hat.
The first clues given about Baby Mammoth’s identity came when Kenny G, one of the special guests on the show, teasingly remarked that this character was "pretty tricky." Then Baby Mammoth sang an up-tempo rendition of "Vivir Mi Vida" by Marc Anthony, and show panelist, Robin Thicke, suggested that this contestant had a past life in music.
On the third round of Baby Mammoth’s performance, he sang “I Just Wanna Run” by The Downtown Fiction. After Baby Mammoth’s performance, the audience started cheering and the judges all agreed that this performer "nailed it". Eventually, the host of the show, Nick Cannon, revealed that Baby Mammoth was singer, songwriter and producer, Brian McKnight.
McKnight is an artist who has achieved great success on the music charts, having released 16 albums throughout his career. He has also worked with megastars like Christina Aguilera, Justin timberlake, and Mariah Carey. McKnight was a welcomed reveal on The Masked Singer and his identity was one that none of the panelists had guessed.
From his voice and performance, it was clear McKnight had a long and successful career in music. We can only look forward to seeing more of Baby Mammoth on The Masked Singer.
