Elliot Page is an Academy Award-nominated Canadian actor. He is known for his starring role in the critically acclaimed feature film Juno, as well as for his numerous performances in other film and television roles, including X-Men, Inception and Umbrella Academy.

Page was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He grew up with two older siblings and parents who worked in the local film industry. He had an early affinity for the arts, and began acting at the age of 10. Page attended the Shambhala School, a private school located on the outskirts of Halifax, and earned his diploma in 2003.

Page’s breakthrough role came in 2007 when he starred in the independent movie Juno. His performance earned him a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actress.

Since then, Page has gone on to star in a number of successful films and television shows. In 2009, he starred in the blockbuster movie Inception alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. In 2011, he played the role of Kitty Pryde in X-Men: First Class. His most recent major role is as Vanya Hargeaves in the Netflix original series The Umbrella Academy.

Page has also engaged in a number of activism and charity initiatives. In 2014, he was appointed as a UN Ambassador for Youth, and in 2015 he was named a Human Rights Campaign’s Straight for Equality.

In December 2020, Page announced he was transgender and identified as a non-binary person. Since then, Page has been celebrated for his courage and vulnerability in sharing his story, and for how he has used his platform to bring attention to issues faced by trans and non-binary people.
