Who Is Jehovah

Jehovah (Hebrew: יְהֹוָה; Latin: Dominus), is believed to be the eternal, self-existing Creator, the “Lord of All,” and the only true God. He is worshipped by millions of people around the world, particularly by members of the monotheistic religion known as Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Jehovah is first mentioned in the bible in the book of Genesis, where he is described as the Creator of all things, who made the heavens and earth in six days and declared his works "very good." He is also mentioned in the Psalms and throughout the Old Testament, where he is described as the one who delivers people from suffering and death and makes his covenant with them. In the New Testament, Jesus is described as bearing witness to the name of Jehovah.

Jehovah is typically described as loving, just, and kind. He is described as the giver of both the physical and spiritual worlds, from which humans derive their purpose and meaning. In addition, he is the ultimate judge of humanity, rewarding and punishing those who follow and disobey His commands. As such, Jehovah is seen as the source of justice, righteousness, mercy, and holiness.

Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that God’s Kingdom will come on earth and establish perfect peace and justice. This is seen as the ultimate hope of Mankind, and what all people should be striving for. The religion preaches a strict adherence to God’s will to achieve that end.

Jehovah is an important part of many religious faiths and his worshipers are known to spread the word of their faith to those who seek it. Whether you choose to believe what is said of Jehovah or not, the teachings of his religion represent a powerful force of faith and hope in many parts of the world.
