Jen Psaki, White House press secretary under the Biden administration, is married to Gregory Mecher. The two were married in November 2015 in a ceremony at the historic Decatur House in Washington D.C.
Psaki and Mecher, who worked as deputy executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, first met at a dinner party in 2012 and quickly began dating. They went on to have their engagement party at Nantucket and announced their wedding plans in January 2015 during a dinner with close friends and family.
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Frances python Mecher, in 2019 and welcomed their second daughter Celeste during the 2020 election cycle.
Psaki, who grew up in Connecticut, moved to Washington D.C. in 2005 and joined President Obama’s communications team in 2009. Since then, Psaki has gone on to become one of the most influential — and memorable — press secretaries in modern history.
Mecher, who graduated from Brown University and later earned his MBA at Georgetown, has also made his mark in politics through his work as a strategist and political operative. The couple currently reside in Washington, D.C., and both have made social media accounts together, where they often take jabs at the Trump administration.
