Kawaki is a popular character from the manga and anime series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. His true identity has been a mystery to fans since his first appearance. But thanks to some recent information, we now know who Kawaki’s father is.
Kawaki’s father is none other than Kōtarō Sarutobi, the Fourth Hokage of Konoha. Sarutobi was the father of two other sons, Asuma Sarutobi and Konohamaru Sarutobi. He died while fighting the Nine-Tailed Fox and Kawaki was left to fend for himself, ultimately being taken in by the Kara Organization, an organization created by Jigen, who is currently the vessel of an evil force known as Isshiki.
Kawaki has a difficult relationship with his father, especially because of the fact that Kōtarō left his family behind when he died. Kawaki is usually seen as a loner but starts to warm up to people like Naruto and Himawari, and eventually even the rest of the Konoha Village. However, deep down he still carries regret and sadness for his father not being there for him.
Kawaki’s relationship with his father has yet to be fully explored in Boruto, but it’s clear that his connection to Kōtarō Sarutobi will continue to shape his character as the series progresses. He may never be able to move on from the guilt of his father’s death, but hopefully he can learn to forgive and remember his father more fondly.
