Ketanji Brown Jackson is an American judge who currently serves as the United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. She has been in office since December 13, 2013, when she was appointed by President Barack Obama.
Ketanji Brown Jackson is married to Nicholas Calace. The couple have been married since July 2004. Calace is an accomplished attorney who is currently a litigation partner at the Chicago office of White & Case LLP. He specializes in securities and financial services litigation, shareholder derivative lawsuits and venture capital financing. Prior to joining White & Case, Nicolas was a partner at the law firm of Olshan Grundman Frome Rosenzweig & Wolosky. He had previously been a partner at the law firms of Blitman & King and Morrison & Foerster.
Calace graduated from Cornell University and received his J.D. from Cornell Law School. He has served as an adjunct professor of Law at Fordham School of Law. He has also served on the board of numerous non-profit organizations and has conducted human rights work in Bosnia and Serbia.
Ketanji Brown Jackson and Nicholas Calace have two sons, Jacob and Isaac.
