Who Is The Heir Of Slytherin

The Heir of Slytherin is a mysterious and elusive figure in the Harry Potter novels. The Heir of Slytherin was the ancestor of Salazar Slytherin, one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is said that this heir was the only one of his family to possess the valuable Parseltongue ability, a trait common among the heirs of Slytherin.

For centuries, many believed that the last known Heir of Slytherin was Lord Voldemort. Though Lord Voldemort was a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, he was not the true Heir of Slytherin. During the events of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, it was determined that Harry Potter was the true Heir of Slytherin.

Harry learned the truth when he discovered the Basilisk, a creature trapped in the Chamber of Secrets by the last Heir of Slytherin. As the true Heir, Harry Potter was the only one who could defeat it. Harry was also the only one who could open the Chamber by speaking Parseltongue, a trait he inherited from his ancestor, Salazar Slytherin.

Harry, with the help of his friends, was ultimately successful in defeating the Basilisk and closing the Chamber for good. After all of his acts of bravery and courage, Harry finally accepted his true heritage as the Heir of Slytherin.

Now that Harry Potter is gone, the title of Heir of Slytherin will pass onto his son, Albus Severus Potter. As of yet, it is not known if Albus will possess the same magical capabilities, or the same amount of courage, as his father did.

One thing that is for certain is that the future of the Heir of Slytherin is unknown, and that the world of wizardry is in great anticipation. Perhaps Albus will be the brave new Heir that the world needs, to stand up against evil whenever it threatens to take over the magical world.
