The oldest President of the United States to date is President Joe Biden, who took office on January 20, 2021 at the age of 78. However, President Donald Trump was the oldest President when he took office in 2017 at the age of 70.
The oldest President in U.S. history was Ronald Reagan, who was 77 years old when he left office in 1989. Reagan was followed by President Jimmy Carter, who was 73 when he finished his term in 1981.
The third oldest President was George H. W. Bush, who was 68 when he left office in 1993. Other Presidents who served in the Oval Office over 70 were William Henry Harrison (68), John Adams (90), and Herbert Hoover (75).
The youngest person to ever become President of the United States was Theodore Roosevelt, who was only 42 when he took office in 1901. The second youngest President was John F. Kennedy (43) and the third youngest was Bill Clinton (46).
