Sofi Stadium is the new multipurpose NFL stadium located in Inglewood, California, near Los Angeles. It is the home of the Los Angeles Rams, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The stadium is owned by StreetEdge LA Stadium Company LLC, which is an entity formed by the Rams, Ducks, and Chargers.
The Rams’ parent company, Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, which is owned by owner Stan Kroenke, is the majority owner of StreetEdge LA Stadium Company LLC. The Chargers and Dodgers are also minority investors. The stadium was built by a consortium of private investors, including Kroenke, the Rams, the Chargers and the Dodgers, as well as local government agencies.
The Rams, Chargers, and Dodgers will all share control of the stadium, but the Rams will receive a greater portion of the revenue generated by the new facility. The Rams will receive 66 percent of the total annual revenue, while the Chargers and Dodgers will receive 17 percent and 12 percent, respectively. Kroenke will also receive 5 percent of the stadium’s operating revenue.
The Rams also provided the largest share of funding for the construction of the stadium. The Rams invested $2.67 billion in the project, while the Chargers and Dodgers invested $650 million each. The Rams are also responsible for ongoing operations and maintenance costs, which are expected to total around $18 million annually.
Sofi Stadium is part of a larger development project known as Hollywood Park, which is the largest private real estate development in the history of the state. The project is also owned by Stan Kroenke, through Hollywood Park Land Company, LLC. The stadium and the surrounding area will be a hub for entertainment, shopping, dining, and office space as well as residential living.
