Who Shot Lil Tjay

On May 11th, 2021 Lil Tjay was shot while he was in Brooklyn, New York. After being taken to the hospital, thankfully, the 19-year-old rapper has since been released.

As of right now, the identity of shooter is still unknown, and it is currently under investigation. Following his hospitalization, a number of fellow musicians took to social media to show him support and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Immediately following the shooting, some reports began to surface speculating that the shooting was linked to numerous rumors that Lil Tjay was dating Tekashi 6ix9ine’s former girlfriend. However, those reports have not been officially confirmed or even commented on by Lil Tjay or any of his representatives.

Likewise, there are reports of credible threats against Lil Tjay’s brother, with many reports pointing to possible rivalry between Jacksonville’s Hood Kings and Woody Gang in Brooklyn for explanations for the shooting.

As of now, Lil Tjay is being kept safe, and he is obviously shaken by the incident. His fans, as well as other members of the rap community, have supported him after the event, and questions still remain as to who shot the rapper.

Ultimately, until the investigation is completed, it is mere speculation as to who fired the shots. We hope the authorities can pin down who did this crime soon and that Lil Tjay can use this as a reminder to always stay on his toes in Brooklyn.
