Wrestlers, like any athletes, dedicate themselves to their sport. It requires stringent training and long hours in the gym. Unfortunately, death in wrestling is a sad reality, and some wrestlers have died too young. Here we take a look at some of the wrestlers who passed away before they could realize their full potential.
Chris Benoit was a professional wrestler who was born in 1967. He won 25 championships during his career and was considered one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time. Sadly, in 2007, Benoit killed his family before committing suicide. He was only 40 years old.
Owen Hart lost his life in a wrestling accident in 1999 when he fell from the rafters at a pay-per-view event. He was 34 years old. He was an iconic performer in the wrestling world and is remembered for his outstanding performances in the ring and the love he had for pro wrestling.
Kirilenko “Kirill” Sudakov was a Russian wrestler who gained prominence for his technical ability and athleticism. He was only 39 years old when he died in 2004, just five days before he was due to compete in the Olympic Games.
Davey Boy Smith, aka The British Bulldog, was known for his power moves and tenacity in the ring. Unfortunately, he died of a heart attack in 2002, aged just 39. He had already achieved a lot in his career and was just getting started.
Eddie Guerrero was a high-flying luchador who became a household name in wrestling. He was a four-time world champion and a beloved performer who held multiple titles throughout his career. Unfortunately, he died of natural causes in 2005, aged 38.
In conclusion, wrestlers put in a great deal of effort and energy into achieving success. They face physical dangers but tragedy can strike at any time, and these five wrestlers left us too soon. Their careers will never be forgotten.
